The new "Cake Box Bag" has been released as part of MM6 Maison Margiela's 2015-2016 Autumn/Winter collection. The bag's design is based on the classic cake box, which is assembled from a single sheet of paper. The bag opens and closes in the same way as a cake box, by removing the left and right handles and the magnetic lid. A strap is attached to the side, allowing it to be worn cross-body. The bag is currently available in three colors (63,000 yen) in natural, black, and red, showcasing the natural texture of vegetable-tanned calf leather. Two more colors (71,000 yen) made from the same material with a laminated finish, silver and gold, are scheduled to be released this month.
